I wonder how hard it would be to dump that setup into a MX5.

The front right fender looks like it’s been repainted at some point

Wonder if I can trade them for my ‘04 auto with 28k on it.

I can definitely see what you're taking about.
At the very least, the air dam is cracked. And, obviously, the leaper is missing.

Meh I still wouldn't touch it.

I keep seeing 10+ year old S and X Types and XK8s with fewer than 50k on the clock and never understand what you people are doing. How do you have a car that old with mileage that low?

I know I'm nearly alone in this, but I've really fallen in love with their styling.

I don’t mind the styling at all, but they feel, cheap not like Dodge Avender cheap, but not what you’d expect from a Jaguar, and the engine is pretty lack luster, and the manual one usually have the v6. It was slow enough with the 4.0 v8
Also electrical problems.

Grandmothers, she upgraded. She spends 50% her time here and another state. She only drives around town so it doesn’t get much highway use. The only reason why it has as much as it does is because a few of the times the hauler couldn’t pick up the car so I’d take it down to her place for her.
I would have to assume most of them were own by older people given the style.

The engine is my main concern. That 3.0 is seriously anemic.
Are electrical problems really that bad in the S-Type? Even my x308 uses Ford parts for the electrics, so I’d imagine that the S-Type is raiding the LS parts bin pretty liberally.

If I didn’t take trips my mileage would be that low. I ride my bike to work. And I own a weekend car. So my “daily driver” really only sees trips to the grocery store and road trips. If I didn’t go on those trips I bet I’d do about 5k a year on it.

The only one I've driven has some, the radio and cruise control were both inoperable.
